Sowohl Verbraucher als auch Mitglieder des Europ\u00e4ischen Parlaments fordern die Europ\u00e4ische Union (EU) auf, Ma\u00dfnahmen zu ergreifen und Schwedens erfolgreicher Raucherentw\u00f6hnungsstrategie zu folgen. Der EU ist es bisher nicht gelungen, einen wirksamen Ansatz zur Bek\u00e4mpfung der Raucherquote umzusetzen, w\u00e4hrend Schweden, das einzige Land der Welt, das kurz davor steht, rauchfrei zu werden, aufgrund seiner bemerkenswerten Erfolge gro\u00dfe Aufmerksamkeit erregt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die EU verfolgt zusammen mit vielen anderen L\u00e4ndern rund um den Globus eine kontraproduktive Strategie zur Bek\u00e4mpfung der Raucherepidemie. Ihr Ansatz bestand darin, alternative Produkte genauso sch\u00e4dlich wie Tabak erscheinen zu lassen, den Zugang zu ihnen einzuschr\u00e4nken und die Besteuerung zu erh\u00f6hen, um sie teurer zu machen und von ihrem Konsum abzuschrecken. Und diese Strategie f\u00fchrt zu eher entt\u00e4uschenden Ergebnissen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trotz aller Bem\u00fchungen der europ\u00e4ischen Institutionen liegt die Gesamtraucherquote in der EU immer noch bei 251 TP3T, und jedes Jahr sterben rund 700.000 Menschen an rauchbedingten Krankheiten. Doch anstatt ihren Ansatz zu \u00e4ndern, plant die EU, ihr Vorgehen gegen alternative Nikotinprodukte zu verst\u00e4rken, einschlie\u00dflich h\u00f6herer Steuern auf E-Zigaretten und Geschmacksverboten.&nbsp;<strong>Dar\u00fcber hinaus fehlt weiterhin die Idee, Snus zu legalisieren, obwohl das einzige Land, das von dem Verbot ausgenommen ist, n\u00e4mlich Schweden, dank der Umstellung der Raucher vom Tabak auf diese weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternative am erfolgreichsten im Kampf gegen das Rauchen ist.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Ende 2022 lag die t\u00e4gliche Raucherquote in Schweden bei lediglich 5,61 TP3T und damit bei weitem am niedrigsten in der EU. Es wird erwartet, dass das skandinavische Land am Ende des Jahres das rauchfreie Ziel von unter 51 TP3T erreichen wird.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Julia Kril, World Vapers Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Doch warum scheitert die EU-Strategie? Denn der restriktive Ansatz bei Produkten zur Schadensminderung durch Tabak gibt Rauchern nur zwei M\u00f6glichkeiten: v\u00f6llige Abstinenz oder Rauchen. W\u00e4hrend v\u00f6llige Abstinenz f\u00fcr viele das ideale Ziel sein mag, ist sie auch h\u00f6chst unrealistisch. Die Nachfrage nach Nikotinkonsum ist offensichtlich, wie Millionen von Rauchern weltweit beweisen. Produkte wie Snus, E-Zigaretten und Nikotinbeutel trennen effektiv die sch\u00e4dlichsten Bestandteile des Rauchens vom Nikotinkonsum. Obwohl diese Alternativen nicht v\u00f6llig risikofrei sind, bieten sie im Vergleich zum Rauchen eine viel weniger sch\u00e4dliche Art des Nikotinkonsums.
