EU har hittills misslyckats med att implementera ett effektivt tillv\u00e4gag\u00e5ngss\u00e4tt f\u00f6r att bek\u00e4mpa r\u00f6kfrekvensen samtidigt som Sverige, det enda landet i v\u00e4rlden som \u00e4r p\u00e5 v\u00e4g att bli r\u00f6kfritt, f\u00e5r enorm uppm\u00e4rksamhet f\u00f6r sina anm\u00e4rkningsv\u00e4rda prestationer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EU, tillsammans med m\u00e5nga andra l\u00e4nder runt om i v\u00e4rlden, driver en kontraproduktiv strategi f\u00f6r att bek\u00e4mpa r\u00f6kepidemin. Dess tillv\u00e4gag\u00e5ngss\u00e4tt har varit att f\u00e5 alternativa produkter att verka lika skadliga som tobak, begr\u00e4nsa tillg\u00e5ngen till dem och \u00f6ka beskattningen f\u00f6r att g\u00f6ra dem dyrare och motverka anv\u00e4ndningen. Och den strategin ger ganska nedsl\u00e5ende resultat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trots alla anstr\u00e4ngningar fr\u00e5n de europeiska institutionerna ligger den totala r\u00f6kningsfrekvensen i EU fortfarande p\u00e5 25%, och cirka 700 000 m\u00e4nniskor d\u00f6r p\u00e5 grund av r\u00f6krelaterade sjukdomar varje \u00e5r. Men snarare \u00e4n att \u00e4ndra sitt tillv\u00e4gag\u00e5ngss\u00e4tt, planerar EU att intensifiera sitt tillslag mot alternativa nikotinprodukter, inklusive h\u00f6gre skatt p\u00e5 vaping och smakf\u00f6rbud.&nbsp;<strong>Dessutom f\u00f6rblir id\u00e9n om att legalisera snus fr\u00e5nvarande, trots att det enda landet som \u00e4r undantaget fr\u00e5n f\u00f6rbudet, Sverige, \u00e4r det mest framg\u00e5ngsrika i kampen mot r\u00f6kning tack vare bytet av r\u00f6kare fr\u00e5n tobak till detta mindre skadliga alternativ.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&nbsp;I slutet av 2022 var den dagliga r\u00f6kfrekvensen i Sverige bara 5,6%, den i s\u00e4rklass l\u00e4gsta i EU, och det skandinaviska landet f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntas n\u00e5 r\u00f6kfria m\u00e5let p\u00e5 under 5% i slutet av \u00e5ret.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Julia Kril, World Vapers Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Men varf\u00f6r misslyckas EU:s strategi? Efterfr\u00e5gan p\u00e5 nikotinkonsumtion \u00e4r uppenbar, vilket miljontals r\u00f6kare v\u00e4rlden \u00f6ver visar.
