Ledam\u00f6terna Charlie Weimers och Johan Nissinen efterlyste ett mer \u00f6ppet f\u00f6rh\u00e5llningss\u00e4tt till skademinskning i EU vid presskonferensen i Bryssel, som arrangerades av World Vapers&#039; Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201dDet svenska fallet presenterar den tredje och sista avg\u00f6rande pelaren i argumentet f\u00f6r skademinskning. Vetenskapen, konsumenternas erfarenhet och nu det svenska exemplet \u00e4r bevis p\u00e5 att skademinskning fungerar f\u00f6r att uppn\u00e5 ett r\u00f6kfritt samh\u00e4lle. Nu har vi ett obestridligt fall att den EU-omfattande f\u00f6rordningen m\u00e5ste vara riskbaserad och evidensst\u00f6dd.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>sa Michael Landl, chef f\u00f6r World Vapers&#039; Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&quot;Politik b\u00f6r vara bevisbaserad. WHO kommer snart att klassa Sverige som Europas f\u00f6rsta r\u00f6kfria land p\u00e5 grund av skadereducerande policyer och utbredd anv\u00e4ndning av snus. Sverige har ett brett utbud av skadereducerande produkter: vi har snus, nikotinp\u00e5sar, vaping, etc. M\u00e4nniskor f\u00e5r v\u00e4lja!\u201d kommenterade&nbsp;<\/em>MEP Charlie Weimers. &quot;<em>Sverige minskar skadorna och det fungerar v\u00e4ldigt bra<\/em>\u201d, avslutade MEP Weimers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6r att f\u00f6rst\u00e4rka den svenska modellens inverkan sa MEP Johann Nissinen:<em>&nbsp;&quot;Det \u00e4r klart att r\u00f6kning d\u00f6dar, och vi m\u00e5ste g\u00f6ra allt vi kan f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rhindra dessa on\u00f6diga d\u00f6dsfall. Sverige \u00e4r det b\u00e4sta exemplet p\u00e5 hur detta \u00e4r m\u00f6jligt, n\u00e4mligen med ett pragmatiskt skadereducerande syns\u00e4tt. Det \u00e4r det enda landet i EU d\u00e4r snus \u00e4r lagligt och popul\u00e4rt med 18% av befolkningen som anv\u00e4nder det. Att \u00e4ta snus ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r cigaretter r\u00e4ddade m\u00e5nga svenska liv. Det \u00e4r dags att EU-kommissionen f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntar sig denna verklighet och b\u00f6rjar agera d\u00e4refter.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&quot;<em>Snus har anv\u00e4nts sedan 1800-talet, s\u00e5 vi har mer \u00e4n tv\u00e5hundra \u00e5r av en fallstudie som visade att tobaksreducering fungerar. Snus \u00e4r ett bra s\u00e4tt att forts\u00e4tta konsumera nikotin utan skadliga kemikalier du tar fr\u00e5n de traditionella br\u00e4nnbara cigaretterna,<\/em>\u201d sa Carissa D\u00fcring, direkt\u00f6ren f\u00f6r de h\u00e4nsynsfulla tjuvskyttarna. &quot;<em>M\u00e5nga l\u00e4nder i Europa f\u00f6rs\u00f6ker \u00f6verreglera eller f\u00f6rbjuda alternativa nikotinprodukter. Politiker tror att ett f\u00f6rbud mot n\u00e5got kommer att f\u00e5 dem att f\u00f6rsvinna.
